## Context and problem

A proprietary B2B task-management and location-tracking app ran on Windows Embedded CE devices, built with ASP.NET. It had to move to Android.

## Approach

- I led the migration of the app to Android, written in Java.
- The app was rolled out to several hundred devices.

## Team

- The team started with me alone and grew to four developers.
- I onboarded the developers who joined, reviewed their code and paired with them.
- I introduced Scrum into the development organisation.

## Transfer

A team that grows during a migration has to learn the old system and the new platform at the same time. Onboarding, code review and pairing are how that knowledge spreads beyond one person.
