New Forms of Development

Master's course on project-driven low-code development, designed and assessed fully online. The digital portfolio replaces the written final examination.

Project-driven, digital portfolio assessment

CompetenceBuilding working software in teams with low-code tooling, and documenting decisions over a whole project.

Course design

Student teams build working software with low-code tooling over a whole term. The project is the core of the course, not a final task added at the end. I designed the course at the University of Bremen and taught it in Winter 2023/24 and 2024/25.

Assessment

The written final examination is replaced by a digital portfolio. Teams and students record their decisions across the project, and the portfolio is what gets assessed. The assessment is fully online.

Evaluation

My aggregate course evaluations for this course are among the strongest I have received.
